She is active in her church and as a volunteer in the community. She is not able to spend as much time with her grown children, grandchildren, and great grandkids as she would like, but when they come for a visit, they enjoy playing with the poodles and helping to care for them.

Karen enjoys going to UKC shows, working with her poodles and her family's poodles. She hopes to try agility with Her grandchildren, teens in the area, and her daughter in law. They all help out and some of the teens earn high school credit or 4-H credit for their work with Karen and the poodles. It is a hobby, social outlet, opportunity to camp in various parts of the Northwest, and a passion all in one.
